Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains what Orca ("we", "us") collects when you use tryorca.io, join the waitlist, apply as a creator, or — once the marketplace is live — use the Orca platform, and what we do with it.

Information you give us

When you join the waitlist or apply as a creator, we collect:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and location
  • Links to your social profiles, the platforms you create on, and your follower counts
  • Content categories, audience geography, and sample content links
  • Your indicative rate range and notes you choose to share
  • How you heard about Orca and who referred you, if anyone

Once the marketplace is live, accounts will additionally involve identity verification details, social account data you connect via official platform OAuth, campaign and transaction records, and payout and tax details (including PAN, used solely for processing payments and statutory compliance such as TDS).

Information collected automatically

Standard log and device data (IP address, browser type, pages visited), and analytics and advertising data via cookies and similar technologies — see the Cookie Policy for details, including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.

How we use it

  • To review waitlist signups and creator applications
  • To contact you about your application and about Orca's launch
  • To operate the marketplace: matching, briefs, contracts, tracking, payouts
  • To comply with law, including tax withholding and reporting
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it
  • To measure and run our own marketing

Where your data lives

We use a small number of service providers to run Orca, acting on our instructions:

  • Airtable — stores waitlist signups and creator applications
  • Resend — sends transactional and notification email
  • Google Analytics and Meta — analytics and ad measurement
  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers

Some of these providers store data outside India. Where they do, we rely on their standard contractual safeguards.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal data. We don't scrape private data — creator audience metrics come first-party, from accounts creators connect themselves or figures they report. Campaign performance data is shared only between the brand and creators on that campaign.

Sharing

We share personal data only:

  • With the service providers listed above
  • Between brands and creators on the same deal, to the extent needed to run it (e.g. a brand sees the profile and metrics of a creator it is matched with)
  • When required by law, legal process, or to protect Orca's rights and users' safety
  • As part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, in which case this policy continues to apply

Retention

Waitlist and application data is kept while we evaluate it and while Orca is launching; if you ask us to delete it, we will. Account, transaction, and tax records are kept as long as your account is active and thereafter as required by law (tax records typically 8 years in India).

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent you've given, by emailing us. We comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you're unsatisfied with our response, you can escalate to our grievance contact below and then to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Orca is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

We'll update this policy as Orca evolves and change the date above when we do. Material changes will be notified by email or on the site.
